Apparently, I need to come with a disclaimer before 10 a.m.

On Sunday, my mom and I volunteered at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund’s Walk To Cure Diabetes at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. It was amazing to see all the families who came out to walk in support of their loved one with Type 1 diabetes.

It’s a great cause and I was more than happy to help out, but here was the kicker: We had to be there at 7 a.m. AHH!

I’m not a morning person, and I guess I can’t hide it very well. We left at 6:15 a.m. and I hadn’t had any coffee yet, so obviously, I wasn’t exactly cheery. I guess when I haven’t had my coffee, I have a rather “stay the f*@& away from me” look on my face.

So to every person we met, my mom would say this: “She’s not a morning person. We try to stay away from her until she’s had her coffee.”

Thanks, Mom. These people probably now think I’m a psycho.
