No, I’m not talking about toilet use.
I put my coat on while I’m sitting down. Is that weird?
I never thought about how I put on my coat until the boy I’m seeing — notice how I slyly slipped that into a random post? yeah, more detail to come on that if things go better than the rest of my dating life has been going lately — mentioned something to me.
Him: “Why do you always stay seated when you put your coat on? You know you can do that standing up…”
Me: “I don’t know. It’s the way I like to put my coat on.”
Him: “It’s not normal.”
Me: “Yeah, well being normal’s overrated.”
It’s something I never noticed before, but now I notice. Everyone puts their coat on standing up. Maybe I am weird.
But now, I’m going to have an even cuter coat to put on sitting down.
This beauty from Lulus.com is arriving today and I’m so pumped. And what makes it even better is I got it on sale. Love.

I’ve never been one for award shows. I’ve watched the Academy Awards, Grammy’s, Golden Globes, etc., and they really do nothing for me. I don’t really care which movies/music they think are great , I know what I like and that’s that.
Really, the only reason to watch any sort of award show is for the fashion on the Red Carpet. Because in the end that’s what people remember for years to come.
Here were my pick for best and worst dressed:
Best: Ginnifer Goodwin in Vionnet
This dress is adorable on her and the color does wonders with her beautiful eyes and dark hair.
Worst: Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano
While the dress is gorgeous, it’s just not right for her. The color is all wrong and can we say boobies? Tuck those puppies in!
Who were your Golden Globe best and worst dressed?
Also, I’m still working on uploading pictures from Chicago. I know I’m a bad blogger!
I haven’t been a blogger for very long, just a couple of months. So it’s still a little weird when people I don’t see very often, or ever, say something to me about my blog.
Take this past week for example. People I haven’t talked to in awhile have been coming out of the wood work then asking me if I’m going to post this to my blog.
My answer: “Um duh. When I have time.”
One even suggested a title: “That might be creepy, plus i talked about your boobs and said f***.” I decided against that title, but I figured I would mention it anyway. (Thanks, Ryan).
Then, on Thursday, while at the Frozen Tundra, also known as Browns Stadium. Being a Steelers fan, obviously the outcome wasn’t what I had expected, but the my favorite part of the night was yelling at the person sitting next to me because he gave me attitude about getting up to go to the bathroom.
I’m not a confrontational person, but I had finally had it with the attitude. So I called him an asshole and told him to stop talking to me (in all fairness he did try to apologize, after my friends brother yelled at him, but it was laced with sarcasm so it doesn’t count).
On the Trail of Frozen Tears walk back to the car (yes, it was that long, my feet were frozen), my friends brother asked, “so are you going to blog about this?”
Ha! Twice in one week, so yes to answer your question, I am going to blog about it.
It’s been awhile since my last post. Probably because my life has been B-O-R-I-N-G.
I actually think my mom has a more active social life than I do these days.
Although, I did go to Maryland last weekend to visit some college friends. That weekend can really be summed up in one word though, no need for a whole post. DRINKING. Oh yes, reliving my college days.

my friends and I in MD
Since my life is so boring, I’ve been listening to CDs I’ve made in the past few years – I do this thing where I make a CD every month just so I can remember what I’ve been listening to and how I was feeling at that time. Yes, it’s weird but I have to document my life somehow.
It’s really funny to look – listen? – back and remember what I was feeling at that particular time. Let’s rewind to two years ago, September 2007, and here’s what I was listening to. See if you can guess how I was feeling.
- When You’re Gone – Avril Lavigne
- F.U. Right Back – Frankee
- Stupid Boy – Keith Urban
- You Give Love A Bad Name – Bon Jovi
- I’m Not Ok – My Chemical Romance (are we seeing a pattern yet?)
- Because Of You – Kelly Clarkson
- Broken Wing – Martina McBride
- Who Knew - Pink
- Leave The Pieces – The Wreckers
- Everything I’m Not – The Veronicas
- So Small – Carrie Underwood
- Let U Go – Ashley Parker Angel (yes, I listened to the pretty boy from O-Town. He had his own show, hello)
- Big Girls Don’t Cry – Fergie (hell no Fergie! big girls don’t cry, they listen to sappy music and feel bad about themselves)
- What’s Up Lonely – Kelly Clarkson (two Kelly Clarkson songs on one CD, oh how I do love her!)
- Picture – Kid Rock and Allison Moorer (because the Sheryl Crow version just isn’t as moody and country)
- Life Goes On – LeAnn Rimes
- Over You – Daughtry
- Your Winter – Sister Hazel
Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet you’re either really dense or have never heard of any of these songs. But yes, a break-up. It’s crazy how some songs can take you back to a place and these take me back to my car and just singing these songs with such emotion, I think is the only way I can really describe it.
In the essence of full disclosure, I should probably tell you that I broke up with him. But that doesn’t mean I still wasn’t hurt by it. If you ask him though, he’ll probably tell you that I have a black heart and had no right to be hurt by any of it. Oh the joys of relationships gone wrong.
If you listen to what I’m listening to now, you’d think all I do is drink and have sex – haha, just kidding! That’s completely far from the truth. Like I said my life is boring.
